Danielle Johannes

I received a B.F.A. in Graphic Design with a minor in Advertising at the College of Design at the University of Minnesota. After interning at various design jobs–both agency and in-house–I went on to become a web designer at Christopher & Banks Corporation after graduation, where I have worked for two years.

I have been able to grow tremendously during my time at Christopher & Banks, becoming the sole web designer after only a year of working there. I was a key player in two website launches, including one new platform launch. During my time there, the website went from a standard website with a separate mobile site, to being fully responsive with dynamic content and a lot of user interaction. I have developed a robust, working style guide for designers and developers to use, as well as new page layouts and templates. I effectively manage project schedules for web design projects, as well as development timelines and schedules. I work cross-functionally with multiple departments ranging from merchandising, to marketing, to CRM, and consistently play an integral role in photoshoot planning. I have easily adapted to short deadlines and last minute changes– all while keeping a positive, can-do attitude.

My creative approach is to always think about the user first. Being empathetic has allowed my designs to be user-friendly, and easy to understand for the non-tech savvy and technologically advanced alike. I have always had an appreciation for beautiful interfaces, and love being a part of the ever-changing world of web design.

When I am not designing or reading up on the latest web design trends, I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially in or near water. I also enjoy playing fetch with my two cats (who think they are dogs).

I'd love to get to know you too, please feel free to reach out with any questions or design inquiries.
